PROFESSIONAL DEPARTMENT OF STUDIES OF DANCERS, CHOREOGRAPHERS, DANCE TEACHERS
The professional classes of the KSOT are addressed to high school graduates* from 18 to 25 years old who wish to acquire advanced training in classical and contemporary dance as well as in other important dance techniques. The selection of students is based on entrance examinations held every September. The course is three years long and compulsory and leads to a Diploma of Dance Teacher or Dancer. Graduates have the opportunity to work as dance teachers, choreographers and dancers.
* Candidates without a high school diploma as well as graduates or students of a higher or higher relevant school can exceptionally take part in the entrance examinations for the Dance Department of the KSOT.
Entrance Examinations
The entrance examinations for the Professional Departments of the KSOT are held every September. The exact dates for the submission of applications for participation are announced on the website of the KSOT during the month of July.
CONDITIONS
Candidates should be between 18 and 25 years old.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE AND SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS
Fill in the online application form and attach the following documents:
A. Photocopy of identity card (double-sided)
B. Photocopy of high school diploma (only for the Dance Teachers direction)
Candidates are tested in classical dance (ballet), contemporary dance, rhythm and Essay *.
*The exams in the Essay is relevant only to dance teacher candidates
Qualifying Examinations
The qualifying examinations for the professional sections of the KSOT are held every September. The year of classification (B’ or C’) will be determined by the selection board. Students or graduates of other equivalent schools in Greece and abroad are accepted. The exact dates for the submission of applications will be announced on the KSOT website in July.
CONDITIONS
Candidates should not be older than 26 years of age.
